Liverpool take on Manchester United this week in a titanic clash with huge implications for next season. The Reds need a win, Manchester United not so much. The game will be one of fine margins and a potentially decisive factor has emerged. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted he isn’t sure if Harry Maguire will be fit to face Liverpool.
Liverpool face Manchester United
This should’ve been over and done with by now but last time we tried to play this fixture it was postponed.
Manchester United fans invaded their own ground in protest against the Glazer ownership.
The supporters have long been at odds with the Americans but the recent Super League debacle only served to pour fuel on the flames.
The game was called off due to safety concerns with the sanitisation of the ground compromised and fans protesting outside the team hotel.

Now we’re taking another run at it with the Reds desperate for a win.
Liverpool can’t afford to drop any more points in their quest for a top four finish.
Harry Maguire doubt for Liverpool
On Sunday Manchester United beat Aston Villa 3-1.
The Red Devils came from a goal down to beat the Villa but they suffered a blow towards the end of the game.
Their talismanic centre back was forced off due to injury. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told the press he doesn’t know if Harry Maguire will be fit to face Liverpool:
“The boy [El Ghazi] landed on top of him and he twisted his ankle.
“He may be available on Thursday [against Liverpool], but I don’t know, it might be longer. I’ll tell you more on Thursday.”
What RTK has to say
This could be a decisive factor in the crunch clash.
Harry Maguire missing the Liverpool game would surely have the likes of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane licking their lips.
It would also move a set piece threat from United, the centre back often nods one in from a corner.
