Liverpool need to make some decisive changes over the summer. The Reds are in dire need of a shape up up top. Jürgen Klopp’s side have been poor in the second half of the season, highlighting the urgent need for fresh blood. Reported Liverpool target Erling Haaland is allegedly available for £156m this summer; this is brilliant news for Michael Edwards.
Attacking shake up
Since putting seven past Crystal Palace in December the Reds have been poor in front of goal.
Jürgen Klopp’s side have failed to find the net with any regularity, leading to a disastrous slide down the table.
The Reds have gone from top at Christmas to fighting desperately for top four in May.
Wastefulness in front of goal has been one of our core issues during this free fall.

The front three have been spurning chances left and right, the few chances they create that is.
“From what I’ve been told, that’s something that Liverpool are looking at in the summer [signing an attacker], the one area they do want to improve on. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did find a buyer for (Divock) Origi and another forward came in.”
Liverpool target Erling Haaland price
There is quite a buzz about Borussia Dortmund’s 20-year-old striker.
According to Eurosport, Liverpool are one of a number of clubs chasing Erling Haaland.
The striker has been scoring ridiculous amounts of goals for the German side since his switch from Red Bull Salzburg.
Naturally every top club in Europe wants to be his next home.
Many believe that this summer could see a bidding war erupt, however, Dortmund appear intent on keeping him for another year.
According to Marca, the German side want €180m (£156m) for the striker if he is to leave this summer.
Perfect news for Liverpool
Dortmund hanging on to the striker for another season works out perfectly for us.
Liverpool cannot afford to buy Erling Haaland this summer if a bidding war erupts.
However, we could afford his £62m release clause which becomes active next summer.
The Germans pricing him out of a move this summer could prove critical to Liverpool’s pursuit of the striker.
