Kaide Gordon and Mateusz Musialowski continued their fantastic form in a 6-0 win for Liverpool’s Under 18s. The duo are making real names for themsevles.
Liverpool Under 18s beat Middlesbrough 6-0 on Saturday, which saw two fantastic prospects continue their wonderful form.
Musialowski bagged a brace in the game, taking his recent run to six goals in eight games. Given only one of those came as a striker, the 17-year-old is showing a real talent for scoring goals.
The Pole is someone Liverpool clearly have very high hopes for. After training with the first-team over the international break, Musialowski was the only youngster they kept around, per the Athletic.
And how can you ignore him when he’s scoring goals like this?

We’re excited about Musialowski, too. He’s a player who seems destined for a shot in the first team.
He can dribble, he’s confident and he’s versatile – that’s going to get you noticed. Musialowski is scoring goals, too, and we do wonder if Liverpool will sneak him onto the bench before the season’s out.
Gordon was another who recently trained with the first team but there’s no secret that the teenager has fantastic talent. Liverpool signed him from Derby County this year after he’d already made a senior debut at 16.
Gordon is still only 16, in fact, but that isn’t stopping him from shining at U18 level. His goal against Middlesbrough was his fifth in his last three games.
The Athletic cited a source at Derby who believed Gordon was the ‘best 16-year-old in the country’. That’s a big shout but on this evidence, he can’t be far off.
Gordon is showing he can tear it up at U18 level, really. His five goals have come in 4-1, 6-1, and 6-0 wins, having missed the 1-1 with Burnley last week.
And like Musialowski, Gordon is doing this away from the centre-forward spot. He’s another whose versatility will surely get him a senior look-in before too long.
Gordon & Musialowski
These two are incredibly bright prospects and their versatility means they can effortlessly progress together. But they’re not the only ones to consider here.
The dream is undoubtedly that both Gordon and Musialowski become first-team options. But the ultimate goal will be to combine them with another teenager – Harvey Elliott.
There is an incredible amount of young talent in those three and all are thriving right now. If Liverpool play their cards right, they could one day form a unit at first-team level.
That’s a long way off, of course, but Liverpool have to dream big. The trio’s potential allows them to.
