Liverpool are going to have to act decisively during this summer’s transfer window. The Reds need to come back all guns blazing after a poor Premier League campaign. Given that the goals have dried up since the New Year we expect an attacker to come through the door over the summer. According to Fichajes in Spain, Liverpool want to sign Jadon Sancho.
Goals dry up
The front three have been off the boil since the start of the year.
The Reds’ attacking trio have missed chance after chance.
As a result we expect the lack of goals to be addressed but first we need to consider why the goals have dried up.
One explanation is that the injury crisis has led to a constant chopping and changing of the side.

In turn we’ve seen a lack of consistency with build up play looking disjointed and not as fluid as we’ve come to expect.
Another explanation is that there is a lack of quality in depth up top.
This means that the boss is unable to rotate his starting attack without risking a massive drop off in standard.
Due to this lack of rotation the front line have become fatigued.
Liverpool want Jadon Sancho
There are plenty of options for Liverpool when it comes to resolving the lack of goals.
One option is to bring in a top quality forward who can shake up the front line.
If one player is to drop out of the current front three we expect it to be Roberto Firmino.
According to Fichajes in Spain, Liverpool want to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
The outlet has claimed the Reds are willing to splash €100m (£86m) on the Dortmund winger.
Though we cannot speak to the veracity of the source in Spain, The Independent also suggested that Liverpool could move for Sancho last October.
Jadon Sancho stats
This season hasn’t been Sancho’s most productive.
However, despite his goals and assists not hitting the same height as last term he has still had an impressive season.
This campaign has seen Sancho score six and assist nine in 21 Bundesliga appearances.
Last season the Englishman scored 17 and assisted 16 in 25 starts and seven sub showings.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool signing Jadon Sancho would be a statement move.
He is one of the hottest properties in the sport.
It would also be satisfying to snatch Sancho from bitter rivals Manchester United.
The Red Devils have been publically chasing the winger for some time.
Whether or not Liverpool are able or willing to pay what it takes to land a player like Sancho remains to be seen.
