Liverpool have confirmed their lineup to face Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League tonight. The Reds must overturn a 3-1 defeat.
The Brazilian starts in goal as expected. A clean-sheet is a must here, surely.
All eyes will be on Alexander-Arnold. He struggled defensively in Spain but scored a fantastic winner at the weekend. Certainly, we hope for more of the latter tonight.
The biggest game of his career – without a doubt. Phillips will likely be targeted again, much as he was last week.
Again, the biggest game of Kabak’s young career. Needs to show Liverpool why they have to sign him.
Fully expect another reliable performance. He had a very good game against Aston Villa – more of the same, please.
Fabinho struggled last week and can’t afford to do the same here. Needs to hold everything together.
Klopp took him off early at the weekend, presumably to rest his legs for this. Liverpool certainly need his energy.
A big call – the big call. Klopp plainly wants high-energy and discipline in the team and Milner can provide it.
Badly needs to find his form and won’t find a better stage to do so. We need a reminder that the Mane of old is still there.
Liverpool have looked better with Firmino in the side over the last few. Can hopefully link the play better than we saw from others last week.
It’s on him to score the goals – no one else can do it regularly. Massive pressure on Salah tonight but nothing new to him.
What RTK has to say
A huge game requires everyone to be at their best. Jurgen Klopp could have gone several ways with his Liverpool lineup tonight but he clearly thinks this is the way to beat Real Madrid.
Fingers crossed he gets it right this time.
