Twitter reacts as Mateusz Musialowski wins goal of the month

Liverpool fans have plenty of players to be getting excited about in the academy. The Reds have been stacking the youth setup with talent in recent years with the team of tomorrow steadily coming together. One youngster has been making real waves. Who is Mateusz Musialowski?

The Reds have brought in a number of exciting prospects in recent windows.

Last summer Germany youth captain Melkamu Frauendorf arrived from Hoffenheim.

Heir to Alisson Becker, Marcelo Pitaluga, was signed from Fluminense.

There was also the arrival of Mateusz Musialowski from SMS Lodz.

The 17-year-old Polish winger has been lighting up U18s games with his electric dribbling ability and deadly finishing.

The Reds are lucky they bagged him when they did with Arsenal reportedly targeting the teenager before he made the switch.

Recently the winger trained with the first team and so impressed his senior colleagues that he allegedly earned the nickname ‘Polish Messi’.

Mateusz Musialowski goal of the month

This week saw Mateusz Musialowski scoop the goal of the month award for March.

The teenager beat Mo Salah and Diogo Jota to the gong, ending the Egyptian King’s monopoly on the trophy.

It was a deserving winner; Musialowski won the vote for his stunning solo strike against Newcastle United, an effort which sees him ghost past a series of opposition players before firing past a helpless keeper.
