Eden Hazard could face Liverpool in a surprise injury boost for Real Madrid. The Belgian is back in training.
This comes from Marca. They claim Eden Hazard is back in contention after injury and may face Liverpool this week.
That comes as a surprise as even the player himself didn’t believe he’d play in either game – let alone the first.
But Hazard is training again, in fact, having played just once since January. That was 15 minutes against Elche nearly a month ago.
The 30-year-old has had a torrid time with injuries since joining Real, really. He’s started just eight games this season across La Liga and the Champions League – not exactly the superstar Real wanted.

But he may return for, arguably, the biggest game of their season. They host Liverpool this week in their Champions League quarter-final first leg.
In a further boost to Real, Toni Kroos played 30 minutes against Eibar on Saturday. He’d picked up a knock while away with Germany but appears to be ready to play against the Reds.
What RTK has to say
Hazard is not the superstar he once was but we’d still rather he didn’t play. We really didn’t expect him to feature and this is the bad kind of surprise.
Because his record as a starter this season isn’t terrible. Eight starts, three goals and one assist.
He stole the show in his last Champions League outing, too, away at Inter. Hazard grabbed a goal in that game and just generally played well.
This is certainly a boost to Real, then, who instantly become a lot less predictable for the game.
As for Kroos, his involvement was always a possibility. He hoped he wouldn’t make it, given he’s a world-class player, but it looks like he’ll start.
We still back the Reds to win after their performance against Arsenal but it’ll undoubtedly be trickier than we hoped.
