Liverpool have shown in recent years that they can let their biggest stars go. The Reds have sold their brightest talents and have gotten better after their departure. We may have to repeat the trick with Mo Salah refusing to rule out a move to La Liga.
Mo Salah Egyptian King
When Liverpool bought Mo Salah in 2017 nobody could’ve guessed just how good he would be.
In his debut campaign for the Reds the Egyptian broke the record for the most goals in a 38 game Premier League season.
He has smashed further records left and right and has become a leading light of Jürgen Klopp’s title winning team.
Such is his quality, there is always going to be rumours surrounding his future.
Mo Salah on La Liga switch
Of course, if you’re one of the best players in the world you’re going to be linked with Barcelona and Real Madrid.
The two Spanish giants are renowned for sweeping up the best players in the world with footballer seeing the two sides as the ultimate destination in the game.
Speaking to Marca, Mo Salah refused to rule out a move to La Liga, when asked about a move to Spain he told the paper:
“I hope I can play soccer for many, many years. Why not?
“Nobody knows what will happen in the future, so … Maybe one day.”
What RTK has to say
Mo Salah moving to Spain seems to be an inevitability.
He is an ambitious man and if you’re an ambitious footballer then you want to play for Madrid or Barca.
If you couple the winger’s ambition with Michael Edwards’ financial savviness then the Reds cashing in on him in the coming years seems to make sense.
