Liverpool have had some iconic strikers down the years with the best of the best having passed through the doors. One of best of recent times was also one of our most frustrating due to his unfortunate injury record, he’s still playing though. According to The Mirror, Daniel Sturridge could join Inter Miami, linking up with David Beckham and Phil Neville.
Daniel Sturridge at Liverpool
Liverpool signed Daniel Sturridge from Chelsea in January 2013 for a fee believed to be around £12m.
The striker stayed at Anfield for six years before being released in 2019.
His time at the club was blighted by injuries but when he was fit he was unstoppable.
Sturridge’s most memorable season is undoubtedly the 2013/14 campaign, during which he struck up a devastating partnership with Luis Suarez.
The forward netted 21 league goals at the Reds narrowly missed out on the title, we can’t remember why.
Daniel Sturridge to Inter Miami
The 31-year-old has been without a club since leaving Trabzonspor in March 2020.
According to The Mirror, the ex-Liverpool man could resurrect his career in MLS.
The outlet has reported that Daniel Sturridge is wanted by Inter Miami and DC United.
Moving to Miami would see the forward link up with ex-Man United duo David Beckham (club owner) and Phil Neville (manager).
What RTK has to say
We’d love to see Daniel Sturridge join Miami.
He is such a talented footballer and he could’ve done so much more with his career had it not been for fitness issues.
Hopefully he does make the move, we’ll tune in to as many matches as we can.
