Liverpool are going to rejig the squad this summer. The Reds have had the lack of depth in the squad exposed and we need to address this before next season. Centre back is the obvious main cause of concern; Liverpool are reportedly close to signing Ibrahima Konate but some fans are concerned about his injury record.

Liverpool need a centre back
This season has seen all three of the Reds’ senior centre backs ruled out until next term.
The Reds have had to drop midfielders into the back four and call up some lesser seen youngsters.
Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies were signed in February but there’s no telling whether they’re seen as the long term solution.
This summer will give us a better indication as Jürgen Klopp finally sorts out his centre back roster for the next season.
Liverpool close to signing Ibrahima Konate
The Reds have been linked with dozens of centre backs in the past year.
We appear to have decided on one with The Athletic reporting that Liverpool are close to signing Ibrahima Konate.
The 21-year-old Frenchman is considered one of the brightest young centre back talents in the game.
Liverpool are expected to pay his £34m release clause in the near future in order to get the deal done before the Euros and avoid any potential competition.
Although we need the reinforcements his injury record is something of a concern.
According to TransferMarkt, Konate has suffered eight injuries since the 2017/18 season.
Fans concerned
Some Kopites are worried about Konate’s injury record given the problems we’ve had this season.
A club legend could offer some hope.
