PSG want Mohamed Salah, according to reports. There’s only one way they’re getting him, however.
Duncan Castles told the Transfer Window Podcast that PSG could move for Mohamed Salah.
“There is an interest from Qatar, the nation state that owns PSG, in Mohamed Salah, for very obvious reasons,” said Castles. “He’s the most popular player in the Arabic world, maybe the most popular sportsman.
“You have to include them as contenders for Salah’s signature.”
We’re hardly surprised. Salah has 25 goals this season and could play for any team in the world. PSG would almost certainly love to have him and you can see how flanks of Neymar and Salah would be incredible.

But if they want him, they’ve got to really want him. Because there’s only one way Liverpool should listen to this.
Like for like
Liverpool go backwards if they sell Salah. He’s one of the best in the world and replacing him would be a nightmare.
Unless they sign another superstar, of course. And it just so happens that PSG have one who might be available.
Liverpool want Kylian Mbappe, according to Le Parisien. The Frenchman – who has scored 30 goals this season – has under 18 months left on his deal, potentially forcing PSG to sell.
If they want decent money for him, after all, they’ll have to sell this summer. Otherwise, they risk losing one of the most valuable players in the world for nothing.
Both clubs are in a similar position, then. Selling might make some sense but they’d need a star in return so they don’t go backwards.
Liverpool can offer PSG that with Salah. Few clubs can match that – a proven star, playing well, who fits seamlessly into their team.
While PSG could give Liverpool one of the few players in the world who could replace and potentially improve on Salah.
Getting a player of Mbappe’s calibre is the only way Liverpool should listen to Salah offers. But it might just benefit PSG to open the door to a deal by using Mbappe.
