Liverpool haven’t had their best season, we can all admit that. The Reds have struggled and injuries are to blame. There’ll be plenty of business done over the summer to address the depth of the squad. Liverpool have been linked with a move for Aaron Ramsey but the imminent departure of Gini Wijnaldum shows why the deal can’t happen.
Aaron Ramsey story
30-year-old midfielder Aaron Ramsey is currently playing at Juventus.
The Welshman joined the Serie A side from Arsenal in 2019, moving to the Italian club on a free transfer.
He spent over a decade with the Gunners before making the switch to the continent.
Ramsey’s game time has been limited in Italy, this season he’s started just 12 games in the league, making six appearances from the bench.

Liverpool linked with Aaron Ramsey
Given the midfielder’s lack of regular game time he’s being linked with a move away from Juve.
According to Calciomercato, Liverpool are interested in a move for Aaron Ramsey.
West Ham are also being touted as potential suitors for the Welshman.
There was no further detail given on a potential fee but we can assume he’d be available for a bargain price given his wages.
Gini Wijnaldum block
This summer Liverpool are set to lose Gini Wijnaldum on a free transfer.
The 30-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the season and the club have been unwilling to agree to a pay hike in order to get him to renew his deal.
If the Reds are unwilling to give 30-year-old Gini Wijnaldum an expensive contract why would Liverpool be willing to give 30-year-old Aaron Ramsey an expensive contract?
The club are concerned about being lumbered with high wages for a player entering the latter stages of his career, therefore a move for Ramsey doesn’t make any silence at all.
