Liverpool could have the edge in the race for Patson Daka - RTK view

Liverpool are short of quality in depth in the squad. The Reds need to address this issue in the summer, we can’t rotate like Manchester City and injuries hit us harder. Liverpool have been linked with a move for Patson Daka, they could win the race for the player thanks to their strong relationship with the Red Bull organisation.

Upgrade on Origi

This summer has to be about sorting out the lack of quality in depth in the squad.

We aren’t able to rest key players and they start underperforming as a result when fatigue sets in.

Injuries also cause massive drop offs in quality.

Divock Origi has been handed chance after chance at the club but he never shows up unless it is the most important game in years.

We need to bring in a more exciting backup for our front line.

Liverpool linked with Patson Daka

There are going to be plenty of potential backups for the Reds to consider.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

One man we’ve been linked with is a forward Rousing the Kop have been pushing since last summer.

Salzburger Nachrichten in Austria have claimed that Liverpool are considering a move for Patson Daka.

The £17m rated Zambian has 20 goals in 18 league games this season.

Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal are also said to be interested in Daka.

Liverpool and Red Bull

There are definite parallels between FSG and Red Bull’s approaches to football.

The two agree on plenty when it comes to running a sports club.

The Independent reported in 2019 that Liverpool actually visited Red Bull Salzburg when drawing up plans for the AXA Training Centre.

The Reds took a tour of Salzburg’s benchmark setting youth facility, evidence of what Melissa Reddy describes as a ‘collaborative relationship’ between the organisations.

Liverpool could have the edge in their pursuit of Patson Daka thanks to this collaborative relationship.

If we’re on friendly terms we could be given advance notice of rival approaches and negotiations on the whole could be smoother.
