Liverpool are going to have to be decisive this summer. The Reds have struggled in the league this season and a lack of squad depth is to blame. We need to add some real quality to the front line. Paul Robinson has backed Liverpool to sign Paulo Dybala to replace Roberto Firmino.
Liverpool need signings
This summer will have to be a big one.
The club need to move on some deadwood and shift the focus to reliability.
We can’t keep dealing with excessive injuries throughout the squad.
The Reds also need quality and competition up top, at the moment we can’t rotate without a massive drop off.
One of the areas of the squad in dire need of investment is the number 9 role, we need a more lethal finisher to deal with the low blocks we’re facing.
Liverpool backed to sign Paulo Dybala
As we edge closer to the summer transfer window the rumours are starting to intensify.
El Gol Digital recently linked Liverpool with a move for Paulo Dybala.
The Reds have been backed to sign the Argentine by Paul Robinson, the ex-England goalkeeper told Football Insider:
“Dybala is a world-class player, what a signing he would be. He would be a massive addition to any squad.
“It is very hard to find players who can join or disrupt Liverpool’s front three. They have misfired this year but Jota has come in and has forced Jurgen Klopp’s hand into playing all four of them at times.
“Liverpool should go for him because he is capable of playing across the front line and he would be a great option as a false nine. He would be phenomenal in that Firmino role.”
What RTK has to say
Liverpool signing Paulo Dybala makes no sense.
The Argentina is a world beater on his day but his injury record is incredibly concerning.
This season he’s managed just eight starts in the league due to his fitness issues.
We’re going to need to sign a forward but signing one so often injured doesn’t make sense.
