Liverpool held a training match on Saturday that saw Ben Woodburn bag a hat-trick. The one-time wonderkid did it in front of Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool have an interesting mix of young players and senior players in training at the moment. A selection of stars are now away with their international teams but many remain at the club.
Some are there as South American World Cup qualifiers were postponed. Some, like James Milner, aren’t playing international football anymore.
And one is there because his international boss doesn’t see how good he is.
Jurgen Klopp has taken the chance to have a look at some youngsters, too. Kaide Gordon – a 16-year-old signing from Derby County – got his chance to impress this week.
But Klopp had a closer look at what his youngsters are capable of today. He set up a training match, featuring players like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Naby Keita and Fabinho.

Now, we don’t know too much about the game as it was behind closed doors. Fortunately, though, photographer Andrew Powell was there to pick up some fantastic shots.
He then took to Instagram to show off some favourites, as well as reveal the result. The Red team won 5-1 behind a hat-trick from Ben Woodburn.
The one-time wonderkid is now a forgotten figure at Anfield but he must have impressed Klopp with this display.

Now, were hardly expecting Woodburn to push his way back into first-team contention. But its certainly nice to hear of him doing well – he was once the bright, young future first-team star, of course.
This will not do him any harm at all, though. And who knows? Maybe he can turn his career back on track someday soon.
