Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos has issued a two-word Twitter message to Liverpool after the two European heavyweights were drawn to face each-other in the Champions League quarter-finals.
The mouth-watering last-eight clash represents the first meeting between the two teams since the European Cup final back in 2018.

Jurgen Klopp and his team will head to Spain on April 6 – although the first leg won’t be played at the iconic Santiago Bernabeu stadium – before the return encounter at Anfield takes place on April 14.
Kroos, who has three European Cups to his name, will also be going up against his former Bayern Munich teammate, Thiago Alcantara, whom were two of Pep Guardiola’s trusted midfield generals during their short time together in Germany.
The World Cup-winning icon sent a message to Thiago and his Liverpool teammates on Twitter, which read: “Nice one.”
Kroos and Thiago, who are two of Europe’s most recognised midfielders, most recently came up against each other in the Champions League semi-finals back in 2018 – Madrid, of course, prevailed on that particular occasion.
In fact, Thiago remarkably has never won a match against Los Blancos in which he has been included in the starting line-up.
Of the seven matches he has featured from the off against Madrid, Thiago has lost on six separate occasions.
It’s fair to assume, then, that he will be desperate to put such a torrid record to bed when both Jurgen Klopp and Zinedine Zidane go to war next month.
