Joachim Low to leave Germany

This summer will see the delayed Euro 2020 tournament played out.

The end of the tournament will also mark the end of Joachim Low’s long term reign as Germany boss.

The coach has confirmed that he’ll be stepping down as manager of the national side after the Euros.

Low’s announcement obviously led to speculation surrounding the future of Jürgen Klopp with many seeing him as the natural choice as the next Germany manager.

Marc Kosicke on Jürgen Klopp future

Speculation surrounding the boss’ future was inevitable.

Jürgen Klopp has long been tipped for the Germany job at some point in his career.

The boss was quick to dismiss the speculation in a pre-match press conference, his agent has also worked to quieten rumours.

Marc Kosicke has insisted Jürgen Klopp will see out his contract at Liverpool, telling Sport1:

“Jürgen has always emphasised in recent years that he could certainly be available for the office of national coach at some point if the DFB [German FA] is looking for a coach and Jürgen is not looking after a club. And since the latter is not the case, that was also out of the question now.”

“No. If Jürgen says that so clearly, then he will stand by it. Besides, he’s not finished with his work in Liverpool.”

The outlet went on to ask whether or not the boss will stay at Anfield for the duration of his contract, Kosicke was emphatic in his reply: “Yes. Definitely.”

What RTK has to say

Marc Kosicke further alleviating any fears we had about Jürgen Klopp is more than welcome.

However, we never thought he’d abandon us, particularly at a time like this.

The boss will be determined to set the record straight, this summer will be massive for him. It’s time to build his second team.
