Liverpool haven’t had much to shout about this season. The Reds have had to concede the league title and are now scrapping for a top four finish. It has been a campaign fraught with injury and tragedy. One positive from the past months has been the progress of an academy graduate. The form of Curtis Jones should see Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain sold in the summer.

Rough season
This has been a disaster of a campaign for Liverpool.
In fairness, it hasn’t really been their fault. The Reds have just been dreadfully unlucky.
Jürgen Klopp has lost large swathes of his team to injury and illness.
We didn’t have a centre back to our name until the winter deadline day.
We’ve got to look for positives where we can after such a terrible campaign; Curtis Jones is certainly a positive.
Curtis Jones progress
This season has been the season in which Curtis Jones has established himself as a first team regular.
The 20-year-old Scouser has become undroppable from Jürgen Klopp’s midfield.
He recently put in a man of the match performance against Sheffield United, scoring the opener against the Blades.
He has earned a WhoScored average of 7.37 for his performances in the Champions League.
Jones keeps getting better by the week and his form could have far reaching implications.
Curtis Jones and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
This campaign has been another wherein The Ox has struggled for minutes.
Curtis Jones has started ahead of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in recent weeks as the ex-Arsenal man fails to live up to former glories.
Persistent knee injuries have hampered The Ox since his promising start to life on Merseyside.
Now that Curtis Jones is performing so well Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain should be moved on.
We have a bulging midfield as it is and it is time to cash in on The Ox, we could fetch a decent fee for him and he needs more regular minutes than he’s going to get watching from the sidelines.
Curtis Jones’ form could well help the club raise millions.
