Liverpool reportedly have a free run at Florian Neuhaus. It’s some good fortune that the Reds must take advantage of.
This comes from Bild. Journalist Christian Falk claims Liverpool are in for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus.
Better than that, other potential suitors can’t move for him. Bayern Munich don’t have the cash after committing to sign Dayot Upamecano.
Borussia Dortmund will sign Gladbach’s coach Marco Rose in the summer – and he won’t sign players from his former club.
And with those two out of the picture, Liverpool have something of a free shot at this one. Neuhaus is available for around £35m thanks to a clause and we think the Reds have to look at this.

‘Taking advantage’ doesn’t necessarily mean signing him without further consideration. In fact, it could mean that Liverpool have more time than usual.
With no other clear suitor, perhaps the Reds can afford to wait. They could weigh up other options, see how the market changes – no need to rush.
Alternatively, the chance is there to snap him up with ease before anyone else gets involved. But honestly, we don’t know who that team would be.
Liverpool have the edge over most and the select few who could worry them appear to have attentions elsewhere. Honestly, Bayern and Dortmund were the only two serious worries.
Neuhaus is a brilliant player who hasn’t even turned 24 yet. We see him as a clear and ideal replacement for Gini Wijnaladum, should the Dutchman leave at the end of his contract.
The Bild report also claims that Neuhaus does want to move to Liverpool. So with all of that in mind, the club really does have this one under control.
It sounds as though the player is theirs, should they want him.
