Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter after seeing Jurgen Klopp star in a hilarious commercial for Snickers.
Created by BBDO Dusseldorf, the clip features an irate Klopp playing a game of table football alongside three friends. “3-5-2? Nobody plays that way anymore?” he bellowed with the same energetic charisma he notoriously showcases on the Anfield touchline.
In our honest opinion, the 30-second clip is just perfect. It combines Klopp’s relentless passion and humorous side together perfectly.
Similarly to Mr Bean and Elton John before him, Klopp suddenly becomes an ordinary teenager suffering from hunger as opposed to a world-renowned football coach – for which a bar of Snickers becomes the solution.
The commercial was filmed in 2019, before the pandemic and not too shortly after Klopp was voted FIFA’s Men’s Coach of the Year.

Indeed, the clip has come to light again in the midst of a difficult period for Klopp and Liverpool. The reigning English champions have lost their previous four league matches, after all, the club’s worst run in Klopp’s tenure.
Still, it’s good to see that Kopites can see the funny side in Klopp unleashing his fury on the commercial stage – he certainly may have found an alternate career-path should he ever choose something different after football.
In the midst of a barren run of results, it comes as a welcomed and refreshing distraction to turn our attention away from the football and see Klopp showcase his inner Hollywood stardom.
Reaction to Klopp clip
It’s fair to say that the Anfield faithful certainly enjoyed seeing their manager utilise his skills outside of the footballing world.
