Liverpool will surely be busy in the summer transfer window. The Reds need to move on some deadwood and they need to add more quality in depth to the squad. The Belgian forward has scored some of the most important goals in the club’s modern history.
He has a habit of scoring these huge goals in huge games, he just never scores in any of the other games.
He loves a goal in the derby, scoring one of the most memorable winners in history.
We’ll also never forget his strikes against Barcelona and the clincher in the Champions League final.
However, his inability to show up in every other game has left fans questioning his role at the club.
Divock Origi could be sold by Liverpool
Speaking on the Red Agenda Podcast, James Pearce discussed the Reds’ summer plans.
The journalist believes that Divock Origi will be sold by Liverpool with doubts also hanging over the futures of Xherdan Shaqiri and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain:
“[There are] some huge decisions to make this summer. I think Origi will go and then you look at question marks obviously over [Xherdan] Shaqiri, over [Alex] Oxlade-Chamberlain.
“Getting a number nine in and replacing Origi with a much higher calibre striker, for me, is absolutely crucial as well.”

Divock Origi leaving Liverpool will be sad but it is best for everyone involved.
The Belgian needs to be playing regularly as a first choice striker if he is to achieve his potential.
He is still young and has plenty of time to prove himself but he won’t get the minutes he needs just sitting on the bench at Anfield.
Hopefully we bring an upgrade in ahead of next season.
