Manchester United want Gleison Bremer, according to reports. He’s the latest Liverpool target linked with their rivals.
This comes from Sport Mediaset. They claim that Manchester United want Torino defender Gleison Bremer.
The Brazilian has a contract until June 2023 and United have already sent people to watch Bremer closer.
The report doesn’t give more information than that. But this would once again be United looking at a reported Liverpool target.

It’s clear that both United and Liverpool want a centre-back this summer. They seem to want the same type of centre-back, too.
Sky Germany’s Max Bielefeld, for instance, have both clubs down as interested in Nikola Milenkovic at Fiorentina.
Then the Independent mentions both as wanting RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate.
All three players are very similar. They’re 23 or under and have years of experience in a top European league, be it Serie A or the Bundesliga.
All could be available on a discount, too, according to their reports.
That certainly appears to appeal to both clubs. They want to secure players who can step in and perform now but with plenty of room to grow further.
And, in all honesty, that’s what every club chases. They’re looking for long-term investments that make financial sense. All three of these players tick those boxes.
Liverpool and United will compete, then. What we don’t know, however, is who tops each of their respective lists.
For instance, if Liverpool prioritise Bremer and United Konate, then this is a clean fight. If they both want the same player, though, someone will have to settle for second-best.

And in that case, it comes down to who can offer the best move. Are United more likely to offer a first-team place? Possibly – they don’t have title-winning centre-backs.
But can Liverpool offer a better chance of fulfilling potential and competing for trophies? We’d argue ‘yes’, given recent history.
Whatever happens, though, this will be an interesting race for players. Even if it’s just to see who prioritises what.
