Liverpool have struggled to score in recent weeks and months. The Reds attacking firepower has dried up due to the litany of injuries behind the front line. The Reds need to change something for next season. According to Peter Crouch, Liverpool will win the league if they sign Erling Haaland.
Liverpool misfiring
For the first time in nearly a century Liverpool have lost four games in a row at home.
The Reds have failed to put together anything close to a run of form since Christmas, scoring just once in their last four at home and that goal was a penalty.
Build up play hasn’t been as intense and precise as usual due to the litany of injuries at the back and in the middle.
However, chances have gone begging. We need a proper number 9 to be tucking away the half chances that do crop up.
Crouch on Liverpool and Erling Haaland
There are a few names constantly linked with a move to Anfield.
Liverpool have been rumoured to be in for Erling Haaland ever since he started scoring whenever he liked for Red Bull Salzburg.
Peter Crouch is a big believer in the Norwegian, writing in the Daily Mail:
“I can’t get enough of this fella. What a player we are watching. He’s 20 and he is running over the top of grown men. He is so physically strong, he’s got such exhilarating pace and can score with either foot or his head.
“To give you an idea of how highly I rate him, I will put it in these terms: if Manchester City buy him, they win the title next year.
“If Liverpool buy him, they win the title. If Manchester United buy him, they’ll be right there.”

Liverpool signing Erling Haaland would be the dream, well, him or Kylian Mbappe.
There can be no doubt that we need a classic number 9 to start firing these chances home for us.
We are facing low blocks constantly, we need a fox in the box and that just isn’t Firmino.
Bobby could well drop into midfield, otherwise he’s a great option for big games where we plan to play on the counter.
