Some Liverpool fans want to see Ben Davies ASAP. The defender sat on the bench as the Reds lost 2-0 at home to Everton.
It happened again. Liverpool lost another centre-half on Saturday as Jordan Henderson went off in the first half.
We don’t yet know how long he’ll be out for but, naturally, we fear the worst.
More worryingly was the fact that the two players who played the position after he went off were poor. Ozan Kabak had a torrid game, consistently standing out of position.
Nat Phillips, who came on for Henderson, then made a mistake for Everton’s second goal. He tried to win the ball high up the pitch but didn’t get there.

Richarlison spun in behind to run at the space Phillips should have covered. Liverpool conceded a penalty seconds later.
This was Liverpool’s 18th centre-half partnership of the season but some fans all reacts in the same way. They want to see no.19.
That’s because the fans are calling for Jurgen Klopp to start Ben Davies.
Another appalling, abysmal, boring, slow, predictable performance. and you just know we aren't winning against Sheff Utd.

Play Ben Davies, get midfielders back into midfield and actually turn up to games. Keita better play next week. #FSGOUT
Play Ben Davies. Get midfielders back into midfield and hope for the best.

What RTK has to say
And that’s just a selection. Many more call for Klopp to utilise Davies next time out.
As for why Davies remained on the bench against Everton, we imagine that the boss didn’t want two inexperienced defenders alongside one another.
Phillips, even if he’s not the most experienced player, at least knows Liverpool’s style inside out.
Klopp had just watched Kabak fail to find his position time and time again, likely leaving him unsure that Davies was the right player in that moment.
As for whether we see Davies soon – we agree with the fans, here. It’s time to see what he can do.
