Jurgen Klopp moved to reassure fans on Friday after Alisson Becker wasn’t in training photos. Fans were understandably worried.
There was a notable absence from training photos on Friday – Alisson Becker. The Brazilian goalkeeper wasn’t in any of them, sparking concerns that he’d miss tomorrows game.
That game is against Everton, of course – a fixture Alisson missed last time out. Adrian played at Goodison Park in what turned out to be a season-defining game.
That’s the fixture that Virgil van Dijk picked up his injury, of course.
And there were worries that Alisson might miss this fixture, too, as he didn’t appear to be in training. Jurgen Klopp, however, has moved to ease those concerns.

“No, he’s fine,” he said in his press conference on Friday after being asked about Alisson.
What RTK has to say
That would have been quite the blow. Despite his ‘rough’ Premier League form, Liverpool need Alisson tomorrow.
This is one of the biggest games of the season, after all. There are several factors at play.
You’ve got Liverpool needing all the wins they can get, for starters. They also need to fix their Premier League form of late that’s seen them lost three on the bounce.
They’ve lost two in a row at Anfield, too. That will encourage an Everton side that hasn’t won away at Liverpool in the 21st century.
Then there are the league positions. Everton go into this one just three points behind Liverpool and with a game in hand. Defeat would be disastrous for the Reds.
So with all of that in mind, yes, Liverpool need the world’s best goalkeeper available for this one. Alisson’s performance against RB Leipzig was an encouraging sign that he’s back in form, after all.
Liverpool won’t have everyone available, of course, as there are several long-term injuries. But that only increases the need to have Alisson around.
The Reds need all the help they can get as they try to secure a positive result.
