Carlo Ancelotti doesn’t expect Yerry Mina to face Liverpool at the weekend. The defender has picked up an injury.
Yerry Mina will likely miss the game against Liverpool this Saturday after limping off against Manchester City. The Colombian played just 18 minutes before leaving the field.
Carlo Ancelotti confirmed after the game that Mina had a problem that likely won’t heal in time.
“Mina had a problem on his calf,” Ancelotti said, per the Liverpool Echo.
“I think he will not be available for the game on Saturday.”

Mina has been a regular for Everton this season, starting 19 Premier League games. The Echo report claims either Mason Holgate or Ben Godfrey will instead play alongside Michael Keane.
What RTK has to say
It’s the Merseyside derby – we’ll take every advantage available.
Everton are currently sweating on the fitness of two others, in fact, with Allan and Dominic Calvert-Lewin fighting to make the game. They could well lack three first-team players at Anfield.
Liverpool, of course, will lack several first-team players, as always. They have lacked at least one – their best one – since the last time these two teams met.
Yep, still pretty angry about that one.
The bigger worry is Liverpool’s form. Their win over RB Leipzig was a nice change of pace but they’re on a run of three back-to-back defeats in the Premier League.
Even worse, two of those have come at Anfield. The fortress has the draw-bridge down right now and that presents a real opportunity for Everton.
In fact, it feels like their best shot at an Anfield win for over 20 years.
Injuries do level the playing field a little, however. As we say, we’ll take any advantage available for a game like this.
A win means more than a win. Even more than usual, in fact – it can rebound Liverpool into a better Premier League mindset.
