Liverpool took on Man City tonight with the Reds looking to put some life back into the title race. Instead a bizarre few minutes from Alisson led to a disastrous result. Despite the horrendous outcome of the game, some Liverpool fans have taken heart in the performance of Curtis Jones v Man City.
Liverpool lose to Man City
This game was the last hope the Premier League had for a title race.
The Reds winning would’ve kept some dim hope of a challenge alive.
Yet the injury crisis took its toll as a makeshift defence was unable to keep Man City out.
Despite the goals conceded due to playing two midfielders at centre back, the game will be remembered for a period of utter madness from Alisson Becker.

The Brazilian gave the ball away twice in the space of a few moments to allow the visitors to cruise into a 3-1 lead.
It was just utterly bizarre.
We’ve never seen anything like it from the Holy Goalie and we doubt we ever will again.
Curtis Jones v Man City
Jürgen Klopp took the surprise decision to start Curtis Jones against Man City.
Many expected Jordan Henderson to step back into the midfield with Ozan Kabak at the back with Fabinho.
Even if Hendo didn’t step back into the middle then the expectation was that James Milner would be given the nod.
Instead the Scouser started and he was arguably the Reds’ best player until he was taken off in the second half.
He boasted a 92% passing accuracy, two tackles and two interceptions.
Had the rest of the team had been as brave as he was on the ball then we may have seen a different result.
Many fans were wondering why he was taken off.
He carried us offensively.
