Diogo Jota reached World No.1 on FIFA 21 this weekend as he went 30-0 on FUT Champions. The Liverpool star can do it all.
Diogo Jota is legitimately an elite FIFA player. And not in that ‘he’s a footballer who’s decent at FIFA’ kind of way – he’s genuinely elite.
We already knew Jota was pretty good but he reached a new high this weekend. The Liverpool star went 30-0 on FUT Champions this weekend and became world no.1 on Playstation.
He revealed it on his eSports Twitter account and showed off his frankly ridiculous XI. But then, he’s a millionaire who likes FIFA – of couse he has an incredible team.
Jota has an 84-rated Nick Pope in goal, with TOTW Kyle Walker alongside an RTTF Raphael Varane at the back.

Regular old Ferland Mendy is his left-back, while Headliners James Tavernier takes the right-back slot.
Then it just gets silly.
88 Patrick Vieira, 90 Ruud Gullit and 91 Euesbio make up three of his midfield quartet. The other? Jota’s 99-in-every-stat player card.
His front two are Kylian Mbappe and Ronaldo, completing an XI we’ll never get near ourselves.
This isn’t the first FIFA-related news for Jota, of course. He also won EA Sports’ ePremier League invitational last year, beating future-teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold in the final.
And it appears he was always going to win that tournament, given he’s absolutely incredible at FIFA.
Jota had to find something to do over the last two months, of course. The forward has been injured since the game at FC Midtjylland.
He clearly has no problem filling his free time with FIFA, seeing as he completed 30 games in the first day of FUT Champs this weekend.
So to sum up, Jota is an incredible footballer. He’s also world-class at the thing we all do because we’re not incredible footballers.
It’s not fair, really.
