The bosses at Borussia Dortmund believe Jadon Sancho is leaving this year, according to reports. The Germans can’t afford to keep their player.
It appears Jadon Sancho is leaving Borussia Dortmund in 2021. That’s something that will surely interest Liverpool.
Sport1 claims the bosses at BVB assume Sancho is off and the financial hit they’ve taken this year leaves it almost necessary. In fact, if they fail to qualify for the Champions League, they may have to sell Erling Haaland, too.
But as things stand, it’ll just be Sancho. The report claims they’d accept under the £105m they wanted last summer.
What RTK has to say
From a Liverpool point of view, there is one worry here – the report doesn’t mention the Reds. It does mention both Manchester United and Chelsea, though.

We actually have to go back quite a ways to find a genuine – but still relevant – link between the two. The Independent said in October, once the transfer window shut, that Liverpool were a real candidate for a summer move.
Nothing major has changed since then, of course. If Liverpool were interested back in October for a 2021 transfer, there’s reason to believe they still are.
From our point of view, Sancho would be a fantastic signing. He started the season slowly but has recaptured his best form and it’s form that would shine at Liverpool.
He can play both flanks, he’s creative but can deliver goals, and is a wonderfully quick, direct player. It’s all exactly what Liverpool want in a winger.
Add in the fact that Sancho is still only 20 and we’d be shocked if Liverpool didn’t get involved. They’d have to have someone pretty special lined up to stay out of this one.
So if Sancho really is available – and it sounds as though he is – then we hope Liverpool make a move. It would be pretty strange not to.
