Liverpool have been linked with dozens of huge transfers in recent years but one move in particular just keeps on coming up. It is the dream move, the fantasy buy. Liverpool could well sign Kylian Mbappe this summer and Lionel Messi could be key to making the move happen.

Messi and PSG
The past fortnight has been a tumultuous one in Barcelona.
Details of Lionel Messi’s contract were leaked, causing a storm in Catalonia.
The Mail reported on some of the details, the headline being that the deal he signed in 2017 was worth a staggering £491m.
There were also interesting clauses such as guaranteeing the player the right to become a free agent should Catalonia become independent.
The Metro reported this week that PSG are interested in signing Messi when his contract expires in the summer, Neymar is certainly keen on reuniting with the Argentine.
Liverpool, Mbappe and Messi
Should Lionel Messi move to PSG then we can expect that the French champions will move on one of their front line.
The mammoth salary they’ll have to pay the Barcelona icon would surely bankrupt them if they don’t raise some funds.
It is not unthinkable that PSG will look to sell Mbappe if they are serious about signing Lionel Messi.
They can get Mbappe’s wages off the books and bring in a hefty fee in the process.
The Reds could stand to benefit from Messi moving to France.
