Liverpool in talks with Aaron Long
According to the Associated Press, Liverpool are in talks with the agent of Aaron Long.
The agent is currently trying to negotiate a loan deal to be completed before the Monday 10pm deadline.
The move would see the New York Red Bulls centre back join the injury stricken Reds until the end of the season.
28-year-old and a full international with the USA, the centre back is one of MLS’ best centre defenders.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool signing Aaron Long would be a positive move.
A loan suits us all down to the ground. The 28-year-old gets a career making move, even if it is temporary, and the Reds get their defensive issues somewhat plugged.
We can’t pretend we know a lot about the defender but if the Reds rate him then we trust the powers that be.
They don’t often get their transfers wrong.
