Liverpool went to West Ham wanting to build some momentum after a strong win against Spurs in midweek. The Reds stuck at it and scored some excellent second half goals to take home the win. Here are our Liverpool player ratings v West Ham:
Alisson Becker – 8.5
The Brazilian had next to nothing to do all game and yet he did all of that with aplomb.
Trent Alexander-Arnold – 8.5
The Scouser is back to firing those diagonals and those dangerous crosses, another strong showing from him.
Jordan Henderson – 9
The skipper looks a natural at the centre of defence, what a versatile player.
Nat Phillips – 9
The youngster did his job admirably at the back, a strong showing from the backup man.
Andy Robertson – 8
Andy Robbo, published author, had another strong game. How does he never get tired?
Thiago – 9
The Spaniard pulled the strings again in the middle, a real maestro.
Gini Wijnaldum – 9
The Dutchman is tireless and his work rate helped us secure the midfield. He deserved his goal.
James Milner – 9
The veteran midfielder was upset at being taken off but he played well.
Mo Salah – 10
Mo is firing again, what a superlative performance. His second goal was just daft, utterly daft.
Xherdan Shaqiri – 9
The Swiss international put in a daft ball for Mo Salah’s daft goal. What a pass.
Divock Origi – 7
The Belgian was impressive in short bursts and I’m feeling generous.
Curtis Jones – 8
The Scouser came on and provided a spark in a vital moment, unlocking Mo Salah in the right place.
Roberto Firmino – 9
The Brazilian was sharp in the box to set up Gini for our third goal, an excellent cameo.
