Liverpool have got an eye for a future star. A couple of years ago the Reds brought in one of the most promising youngsters around and he hasn’t stopped impressing since. After another assist at the weekend Blackburn star Elliott Bennett heaped praise on Harvey Elliott.
Harvey Elliott wonderkid
When Liverpool signed Harvey Elliott from Fulham in 2019 he had earned himself a reputation as one of the most exciting prospects in England.
The teenager had been courted by clubs from across Europe, he was even flown out to visit Real Madrid.
Since joining the Reds he’s made a handful of senior appearances in the cups and some sub showings in the Premier League.
This season a late decision was made to send the winger off to Blackburn Rovers on loan.
Xherdan Shaqiri had been expected to leave but he ended up staying and the Reds were dumped out of the EFL Cup early on.
Given that his minutes at Liverpool would be limited, he was sent to the Championship.
Elliott Bennett on Harvey Elliott
This weekend saw the Reds’ loanee bag yet another assist.
The teenager slid Joe Rothwell in for the winger’s eight assist in the league this term.
After the game Elliott Bennett heaped praise on Harvey Elliott.
The Blackburn Rovers star dubbed Elliott a ‘special special player’ in a tweet.

To be performing at his level at his age in that division is just scary.
