Liverpool take on Manchester United in the FA Cup this weekend with the Reds hoping to use the game a launch pad to turn around their disastrous run of form. Jürgen Klopp’s side have been terrible in recent weeks and there’s no better game to end that run. A tweet by Liverpool has hinted that Takumi Minamino will start up top v Man United.

Woeful Liverpool form
Have you ever seen anything like it?
Liverpool are without a win in five Premier League games, without a goal in their last four.
The Reds have looked clueless in their most recent games.
This week saw the side’s 68 game run unbeaten at Anfield come to an end with a controversial 1-0 defeat at the hands of Burnley.
Just a few days prior they were held to a goalless draw by Man United.
Though Kopites will still tell you that we were robbed of the best chance of the game as Paul Tierney blew early for halftime with Sadio Mane through on goal.
Takumi Minamino v Man United
Liverpool will be desperate for a win against the Red Devils.
It is an FA Cup game and it’s against the old enemy, it doesn’t get much bigger than that.
A Liverpool tweet from today appeared to hint that Takumi Minamino will start v Man United.
The club account tweeted a graphic building up to the fixture which features the Japan international.
These graphics more often than not offer some insight to team selection.
There is also the consideration that the forward didn’t start in the league game against Burnley.
What RTK has to say
Ideally we’d like to see Taki start as the nine with Sadio Mane and Mo Salah either side.
Though Bobby Firmino also started on the bench midweek indicating that he’ll be given a starting berth.
This would suggest that Minamino will play up top but on the left hand side of the attack with Sadio Mane on the bench.
