Liverpool have been in stuttering form lately. The Reds have failed to win in their last four and have failed to score in their last three. We can chalk a lot of the Reds’ failures up to a disjointed starting lineup. Jürgen Klopp starting Rhys Williams would allow Fabinho back into the midfield. We are missing the Brazilian further forward.

Winless Liverpool
The Reds have failed to win in their last four games.
Jürgen Klopp’s side hasn’t scored since Joel Matip was substituted against West Brom before the New Year.
The poor patch of form has seen the Reds drop to fourth in the table.
Man United have leapfrogged Liverpool into top spot. A win against Burnley puts the Reds within three points of the leaders.
Makeshift defence
This season has seen Jürgen Klopp cobble together a defence however he can.
The Reds lost Virgil van Dijk to an ACL problem early on in the campaign.
Weeks later Joe Gomez picked up a similar problem and was also ruled out for the majority of the season.
We’ve seen numerous partnerships at the back, Fabinho has been lining up in defence since October.
Rhys Williams and Fabinho
The past few games have showed just how much we miss our Brazilian in midfield.
The Reds used to suffocate the opposition.
We would refuse to let them out of their own half. Fabby was crucial to this tactic.
Partnering Joel Matip with Rhys Williams would allow Fabinho back into his preferred role.
Whilst £39m man Fabinho has performed admirably in defence we are missing his preventative presence in the midfield.
Rhys Williams could be key to our strongest lineup, key to getting us out of our current rut.
