The Liverpool team to face Burnley could well be the strongest lineup we’ve seen since October. The Reds have been rocked by injuries this season but with Joel Matip set to return we could see a more coherent XI with more players back where they belong. Here is our predicted Liverpool team to face Burnley:

Goalkeeper: Alisson Becker
The Brazilian rescued our unbeaten home record against Man United, pulling off some fine stops when needed.
Right back: Trent Alexander-Arnold
The Scouser hasn’t been at his very best this season but we can forgive him given the injury and illness problems he’s faced.
Centre back: Fabinho
The Brazilian has been phenomenal at the back, we’d be lost without him. He was immense against Man United.
Centre back: Joel Matip
The Cameroonian returns to the lineup meaning that the captain can step back into midfield where he belongs.
Left back: Andy Robertson
Andy Robbo, published author, fluffed his best chances to cross against Man United but we expect him to put those wasted opportunities behind him.
Centre midfield: Thiago
The Spaniard could play in a more advanced role with Jordan Henderson back in the middle. He can unlock the opposition from further up the field.
Centre midfield: Gini Wijnaldum
The Dutchman will need to be chasing down any loose balls in the middle to keep Burnley from breaking.
Centre midfield: Jordan Henderson
The skipper will be keeping the opposition penned back in their own half. We missed him in the middle against Man United.
Right wing: Mo Salah
Mo has been far from his best in recent weeks. He hasn’t been finishing his chances nor beating his man. He’ll turn it around soon.
Left wing: Sadio Mane
Sadio was robbed of a golden opportunity on the stroke of halftime last weekend. He’ll be keep to make amends this week.
Striker: Roberto Firmino
The Brazilian fluffed our best opportunities against United, we don’t expect him to be so wasteful against Burnley.
