One of our brightest prospects is currently tearing it up in the Championship and he’s just been joined by an Everton youngster. Jarrad Branthwaite has revealed Harvey Elliott helped him make the decision to move to Blackburn Rovers.
Who is Jarrad Branthwaite?
Everton signed Jarrad Branthwaite from Carlisle aged 17-years-old.
The Ev forked out £1m for the talented teenager after he impressed as a youngster in the heart of the League Two defence.
Standing at 6ft 5in tall he is a towering presence at the back.
Composed on the ball and adept at carrying it out of defence he is one of the brightest prospects in the Premier League.
Jarrad Branthwaite on Harvey Elliott
The January transfer window saw the Everton youngster join Blackburn Rovers on loan.
Speaking to Lancs Live, Jarrad Branthwaite said Harvey Elliott helped convince him to make the move.
The Everton youngster reached out to the Liverpool teenager for advice, telling Lancs Live:
“I spoke to Harvey [Elliott] before I signed and he said that he’s loving it here, so that was another thing that made me want to come.
“He’s enjoying his football and obviously, he’s getting lots of game time so that’s a benefit for him as well.”

It is a big decision moving to the Championship at such a young age – it is a very physical league.
The Reds teenager has been in fine form at the Rovers, netting four and assisting seven this season.
Hopefully he can learn a thing or two about Branthwaite’s game which could help us in derby games in the coming years.
