Liverpool have seen their side devastated by injuries this season. Jürgen Klopp has managed to pull off a miracle and keep us on track for a title challenge. One man has been missed more than the rest, we’re always anxious for news on him. Dejan Lovren has posted a selfie with Virgil van Dijk and he’s offered an update on the defender’s progress.

Dejan Lovren mistake
We can all admit now that it was a massive mistake selling Dejan Lovren.
The sale wasn’t a mistake in of itself but not replacing him was a huge gamble which didn’t pay off.
Since his departure we’ve seen our centre back options devastated to the extent where the Reds have lined up with two centre midfielders in the back four.
The Croatian was sold to Zenit over the summer and he’s been in impressive form in Russia.
The 31-year-old has earned a WhoScored rating of 7.02 across his 17 appearances in the Russian Premier League.
Dejan Lovren with Virgil van Dijk
Although he’s left for Russia, Degsy still has a soft spot for the Reds and his former teammates.
Today saw Dejan Lovren post a selfie with Virgil van Dijk.
The Croatian said that his former teammate is looking stronger than ever despite his devastating injury.
Lovren also offered the best of luck to his former club ahead of today’s crunch clash with Manchester United.
A win would send the Reds back to the top of the league, a defeat opens up a gap for Man United.
