'Really like him': Twitter reacts to Adam Lewis loan move

Liverpool fans have been begging for movement in the transfer window. The Reds are down to, well, no centre backs. Kopites believe action in January is vital. There’s been action, just not the action we wanted. Twitter has reacted to Adam Lewis joining Plymouth Argyle on loan.

Adam Lewis story

Lewis joined the Liverpool academy at U6 level and progressed through the ranks impressively.

When playing under Steven Gerrard for the U18s, the left back caught the eye of the Anfield icon.

Gerrard told the official club site how impressed he was with Lewis:

“If Adam can keep this consistency up I don’t think he’ll be around this team for much longer.

“I want to keep him for as long as I can, but for me, he’s such a threat on the left side.

“Going forward, I haven’t seen anyone as good as him at that age, in terms of quality and what he can deliver in the final third.”

Since then he’s failed to break into the first team, though with Andy Robertson ahead of him that is to be expected.

Adam Lewis joins Plymouth on loan

Lewis spent the first half of the season in the French second tier with Amiens.

He failed to make an impression in France and there were rumours this week that his loan spell would be cut short.

Those rumours have come to fruition and then some.

Adam Lewis has joined Plymouth Argyle on loan until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old will be looking to help The Pilgrims make some progress in League One with the side currently languishing in mid table and in patchy form.

Twitter reacts to move

One Twitter user is excited to see him at the football league outfit.

Fans sent messages of good luck and support.

Whilst others are still worried about the centre back issue.
