Liverpool are winless in three. The Reds have scored just once in this barren run. Jürgen Klopp must be scratching his head wondering what he can do to turn things around. An ex-Anfield star has suggested a solution. In an exclusive interview with Rousing the Kop, Emile Heskey backed Liverpool to sign a striker in the summer.
Liverpool winless and goalless
This is a patch of form we aren’t accustomed to seeing.

The Reds have faced three stubborn low blocks and they’ve come up short each time.
West Brom came to Anfield with no intention of playing football.
Newcastle United defended for their lives at home.
Southampton went ahead early on the South Coast and sat back thereafter.
What has been most concerning with these games has been the lack of goals.
Emile Heskey backs Liverpool to buy striker
The Reds not scoring means something has to be done.
We asked an ex-Anfield forward whether the club needs to invest in the summer.
In an exclusive interview with Rousing the Kop, Emile Heskey told us Liverpool need to buy a striker:
“It would be great to have an out and out nine. Especially that Southampton game where you need a poacher, like a Michael Owen.
“If you’re going to have that much possession and you’re going to be creating that many chances, putting that many balls into the box, then you need someone like [Owen].
“Someone who sniffs out those chances, who knows where to be, when to be and how to finish.”
What RTK has to say
The Reds need a forward.
Emile Heskey is right in that Liverpool need a striker who will hang on the shoulder of the last man.
When we take on Man City away we need Bobby Firmino.
When we take on West Brom at home we need a poacher, a fox in the box to capitalise on all of the possession we have in the final third.
