Real Madrid have an extensive plan to sign Kylian Mbappe, according to reports. Liverpool now know what they’re up against in this fight.
This comes from AS. They claim to have the inside information on Real Madrid’s plan to sign Kylian Mbappe this summer.
It’s not a simple one.
Real hope to rake in between £90m to £130m through player sales to fund the the deal. There are six players in mind, too.
Isco, Dani Ceballos, Gareth Bale, Marcelo, Luka Jovic and Brahim Diaz are all up for sale. The hope for Real, then, is that these players can fetch an awful lot of money.

Mbappe’s potential salary isn’t a concern, says AS, and Real hope they could secure a transfer fee of around £133m (€150m).
Our instinct is that they’re underestimating things there. We find it difficult to believe that Paris Saint-Germain would sell for under the £165m they paid in the first place.
Although, the AS article does acknowledge that the worst-case here is that PSG want to match Neymar’s £198m (€222m) fee.
What RTK has to say
Well, at least we know what Liverpool are up against here. The Reds reportedly want Mbappe, too, of course.
AS themselves recently claimed that Liverpool ‘have the funds’ to sign the player.
And this is simply life at the top. If you want the best players, you’ve got to prepare to face almighty fights for them.
Mbappe is probably the biggest signing anyone can make right now. He can become the cornerstone of a highly-successful era – that’s certainly the plan for anyone who gets him.
And for that level, you’re going to have teams trying everything they can.
Now, Liverpool don’t have the luxury of six squad players who could fetch £100m. At least, we wouldn’t know who they’d be.
Their own sacrifice might have to be in a first-team player, presumably a forward in order to make space for Mbappe.
But regardless of how Liverpool go about it, they will know the extent of Real’s desire. Los Blancos are willing to gut their playing staff to sign Mbappe.
Just how far will Liverpool go to match them?
