Liverpool are always going to be linked with the great and the good of the game. Recently we’ve found ourselves rumoured to be interested in one of the Premier League’s most frustrating stars. Aston Villa’s captain astounds on and off the pitch and it’s a wonder why he’s still at his boyhood club. Rio Ferdinand has backed Liverpool linked Jack Grealish for a move in the near future.
Liverpool linked with Jack Grealish
If you’re doing well in the Premier League and you don’t play for a direct rival then chances are you’ll be rumoured for an Anfield move at some point.
Liverpool were linked with Jack Grealish a fortnight ago by The Mirror.
The outlet suggested that the midfielder would cost any potential suitor around £100m.
Grealish is having a standout season as Villa captain. He has earned a WhoScored rating of 7.92 with five goals and seven assists in 15 games.

Rio Ferdinand on Jack Grealish
Liverpool linked Jack Grealish has been backed for a top four move.
The England international has been urged by Rio Ferdinand to take the next step.
The Man United legend told his YouTube channel:
“If I am a manager of a top, top team in England
“One of the top three or four teams. I don’t allow him to stay there no more. I’d go and take him.
“£30 million was too much when I went. Turned out fine.
“Does he need to push to get out? I’d suggest he probably does now. That’s the situation he will be in.
“If I am Jack Grealish and a Manchester United, a Liverpool, a Man City or a Chelsea, someone like that wants me then I walk into that office, whoever makes the decisions, and I am asking to leave.”
What RTK has to say
Liverpool signing Jack Grealish doesn’t seem to make much financial sense.
He would be a great buy, of course, he’s incredibly talented.
However, £100m seems a steep price tag, particularly given his unreliability off the pitch.
He is regularly caught up in controversy away from the game and if you’re splashing out £100m that’s a risk you can’t afford to take.
