Liverpool have been backed to do some big business in January. However, the club have insisted that they’ll keep their wallet away in the winter window. Should the Reds not do anything this month then we could expect Liverpool to make a big summer signing. Fabrizio Romano has said the Reds are planning something interesting.
Liverpool urged to make January move
The Reds have been begged by supporters to make a January signing.
Liverpool have seen every one of their centre backs fall to injury this term.
As it stands we’re playing with two centre midfielders in the back four.
As a result we’ve seen dozens of centre backs linked with an Anfield move yet there’s been no concrete news.

Romano hints at Liverpool summer signing
The Reds may not do business in January.
We wrote recently about how a lack of winter business could point to Liverpool making a big summer signing.
Fabrizio Romano appears to have lent some credibility to this theory.
The well regarded transfer expert told the Que Golazo podcast:
“Liverpool don’t want to spend a lot of money in January transfer window, they are planning for something interesting next summer.”
What RTK has to say
We do believe that Liverpool will make a big summer signing if they don’t move in January.
Given the gravity of the situation at the moment to not spend any money would be sure indicator that there’s big business to be done in the future.
Whether this business is a new centre back or a megabucks forward signing we don’t know.
We can only hope that Michael Edwards has a trick or two up his sleeve.
