Liverpool are always on the lookout for a bargain. We’ve snapped up Andy Robertson for a pittance, Thiago was an utter stel. A free signing is the biggest bargain there is and the Reds could be in line for one. According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have contacted David Alaba about a free transfer.

Liverpool contact David Alaba

Over the summer David Alaba entered the final year of his contract at Bayern Munich.

As a result the vultures have started circling hoping to snap up a world class talent on a free.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have contacted David Alaba about a free transfer.

However, Real Madrid are said to be leading the race with the defender allegedly dreaming of playing for Los Blancos.

What RTK has to say

Liverpool signing David Alaba on a free transfer would obviously be a dream.

However, if Real Madrid are serious about their interest then we can’t see the Reds stealing ahead.

The Spanish side have deep pockets and Michael Edwards won’t want to be held to ransom over wages in order to sweeten the deal.
