Liverpool need a centre back

We told Liverpool they needed a centre back at the start of the season.

The Reds sold Dejan Lovren and didn’t replace him.

We said: OK, a lot of faith to put in the lads’ fitness but sure, we trust you.

Then two months later we said: OK, this is a disaster. Though, in fairness, you couldn’t account for the flying limbs of a reckless Jordan Pickford.

Injuries to Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip have left the Reds without a senior centre half in the first team.

Liverpool face Ozan Kabak competition

Various players are constantly linked with an Anfield switch.

One such man linked with a Liverpool move is Ozan Kabak.

The 20-year-old centre back is a mainstay of a struggling Schalke defence and he’s thought to be wanted by the Reds among others.

The Mail Online has claimed that he is available for £25m but he’s also wanted by Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Manchester United.

What RTK has to say

Who on earth is going to sign this lad in the end?

Liverpool linked Ozan Kabak has seemingly been rumoured for a move from Schalke since before he signed for them.

The Turkish youngster is full of potential but this feels a little over hyped at this point.

We just want a centre back, Kabak or not. For crying out loud, just reinforce the defence guys.
