Liverpool is one of the biggest clubs in world football. The Reds have a global fan base due to their 20th Century domination and their more recent successes. This is reflected in just how many footballers grow up as fans of the Reds. Speaking to Diez, Marathon midfielder Kervin Arriaga said he dreams of playing for Liverpool.
Who is Kervin Arriaga?
22-year-old defensive midfielder Kervin Arriaga plays for Marathon in Honduras.
He joined the club from Platense last year and earned his international debut last October.
Arriaga has eight goals in 37 league games for Marathon, not a bad return at all for a holding midfielder.

Speaking recently to Diez, Kevin Arriaga spoke about Liverpool and how he dreams of playing for the Reds:
“The truth is I look at myself in a big team, I think and dream big.
“Day by day I try to improve, keep learning, I strive to one day get to play in the team that I have in my heart, which is Liverpool of England.
“Firstly, I hope to God that I can at least have the opportunity to do a trial there. I think that it is worth dreaming big.”
What RTK has to say
Kervin Arriaga is unlikely to get his Liverpool move in the near future.
However, his ambition is indicative of the pulling power the club holds.
If there are millions of kids out there growing up dreaming of playing for the Reds then one of those kids may well turn out to be a superstar.
