Liverpool have a number of bright talents at the academy. For the most part the Reds like to keep their best and brightest at the club so that they can develop in the club mould. Some are just too good to be playing age group football. One of our most exciting youngsters is currently out on loan. Emile Heskey has backed Harvey Elliott for a Premier League loan in 2021.
Harvey Elliott loan star
The decision to allow Harvey Elliott to join Blackburn Rovers on loan was a late one.
The youngster was originally expected to remain part of the first team set up at Anfield this term.
However, Xherdan Shaqiri remained at the club and the Reds were knocked out of the EFL cup early on.
This mean that the youngster’s first team opportunities would’ve been limited.

As a result he was sent to a nearby Championshop club to develop and the choice has proved a wise one.
Elliott has scored four and assisted five in 16 starts and a sub appearance this term.
Emile Heskey on Harvey Elliott
Speaking exclusively to Rousing the Kop, Emile Heskey tipped Harvey Elliott for a Premier League loan move in 2021.
We asked the ex-Anfield forward who the Reds should give a temporary move to this year and Heskey told us:
“Another year for [Elliott] of consistent football I think he’ll come back a lot better player.
“Whether that be at Blackburn or someone higher up the table for a bit more of a challenge.”
The former Anfield striker went on to agree with the suggestion that a Premier League loan is the natural next step for the winger.
What RTK has to say
Emile Heskey backing Harvey Elliott for another loan move makes sense.
The youngster isn’t quite first team ready yet but he’d be wasted on the bench.
Proving it in the Premier League could be the difference, he needs to learn how to compete in the toughest league there is.
