Liverpool have had a pretty dramatic year all things considered. It has been a rollercoaster journey which has seen records broken, titles won and new horizons dawning. There are a number of reasons to be excited about the year ahead and our midfield boasts one of them. Emile Heskey has backed Curtis Jones to become undroppable in 2021.
Curtis Jones breakthrough year
2020 started in idyllic fashion for Curtis Jones.
The Scouser started in the FA Cup against Everton at Anfield in our first game of the New Year.
A team full of kids took on a near full strength Toffees side.
Jones provided the winner when he curled one into the top corner beyond the reach of Jordan Pickford.

He ended the season with a flurry of appearances in the Premier League, earning himself a winner’s medal.
This term has seen him become a regular fixture in the midfield in the absence of Thiago, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita.
Emile Heskey on Curtis Jones
Speaking exclusively to Rousing the Kop, Emile Heskey backed Curtis Jones to nail down a starting berth for himself in 2021.
The ex-Anfield striker was confident that he can really make himself undroppable as long as he maintains his level of performance:
“Curtis has come in and done very well.
“For him 2021 is going to be a season where he can hold down a permanent place and be a starter in that Liverpool side and really make a difference.
I” think it’s a massive massive year for him.”
