Liverpool hold strong interest in Gleison Bremer, according to reports. The Brazilian is currently playing at Torino in Serie A.
Pedrosi believes that Everton actually want Gleison Bremer but Liverpool are knocking on Torino’s door ‘with some insistence’.
The Reds apparently see the Brazilian as an good replacement for Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip this season. By that, he means a defender who is strong both on the floor and in the air.
Torino are even searching for a replacement – another defender from Brazil. They’re hunting at Flamengo and trying to sign Natan.

What RTK has to say
We’ll likely see quite a few reports like this over the next month. Liverpool’s injury crisis creates fertile ground for rumours and creative writing.
But many of those rumours may well be correct. Liverpool do have a lack of options at the back, after all, with Van Dijk, Matip and Joe Gomez all out.
The natural response to all of that is looking into the market and seeing what you can find. Even if the Liverpool Echo claims the Reds won’t go that way.
Whether Liverpool eventually stick with what they have or not, they’ll surely have a look at their options in January.
Bremer could very well be one of those players. As could Dayot Upamecano, Ozan Kabak or Ben White – all players linked with Liverpool over the last six months.
No one actually seems to know what will happen, though. Not even Liverpool – that Echo report admits that injuries or sales could change their minds on entering the market.
You’d have to imagine that poor performances could do the same.
