Liverpool take on Newcastle United this week with the Reds intent on setting the record straight after a disappointing draw at home. Jürgen Klopp will be looking for a much more lethal attacking performance from his boys as they look to open up a gap at the top of the Premier League table. Steve Bruce has confirmed the Newcastle injury list ahead of the Liverpool tie.

Liverpool face Newcastle United
Liverpool don’t often drop points. Last weekend they drew at home with West Brom and everyone is annoyed about it.
Everyone; the players, the manager, the fans. It isn’t heartbreaking or a devastating disaster, it is just annoying.
We faced some horrid anti-football and came up short.
The Reds will be looking to set the record straight with a win at Newcastle United.
The Magpies are in a rough patch at the moment without a win in their last three league games, they were also recently eliminated from the League Cup by Brentford.
Steve Bruce confirms Newcastle injury list
The Newcastle injury list is impressive.
It’s not quite as horrendous as ours but it’s impressive nonetheless.
Steve Bruce confirmed a string of absentees in his pre-match press conference.
The hosts will be without Ryan Fraser, Jeff Hendrick, Paul Dummett, Allan Saint-Maximin and Jamaal Lascelles.
It is unclear whether or not Jonjo Shelvey will be ready in time to face his former club whilst Callum Wilson is expected to be fighting fit.
What RTK has to say
The Newcastle injury list features some key players.
Allan Saint-Maximin is a big miss for the hosts given his creative spark.
Jamaal Lascelles will also be a blow for the defence.
The Reds are still suffering worse though, the absence of Virgil van Dijk could be felt at set pieces.
On balance Liverpool should have too much for Newcastle.
